If you are looking for something just that little bit special, then this is the place for you. A real stunning treasure, a truly traditional Welsh impressive stone-built farmhouse, parts of which date back to the 17th century, set on a working beef and sheep farm.
Set in its own beautiful gardens where you can sit, relax and read or just use it as a perfect hideaway to watch the birds. Aberhiriaeth has a wealth of character with oak beams, period fireplaces, slate floors, cobblestones and a wood-burner in the large inglenook. It is tastefully furnished in keeping with the traditional farmhouse.
Peaceful and secluded, just the place for total relaxation. Aberhiriaeth is situated some eight miles due northeast of the historical town of Machynlleth. It is conveniently near to the golden sand and sea at Aberdyfi and also the glorious sights of the majestic mountains of Snowdonia and the many local activities.
The main door of the farmhouse leads in to the large hall. From the hall you can enter two lounges, the kitchen, the pantry and access upstairs. At the end of the hall there is the front door which leads into a small conservatory.
The farmhouse has 2 large and comfortable lounges, one with a wood-burner in the inglenook with its original bread-oven. Both have Free-view TV and DVD Players with remote control.
The Welsh traditional farmhouse kitchen with its dining area is located in the old part of the house, full of character with lovely original old oak beams, impressive inglenook and slate floor. It is accessed from the main hall down a step. It is very well equipped with the usual array of crockery and kitchen utensils. There is an integrated electric cooker, a ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher as well as the lovely Aga. The kitchen leads into the carpeted lounge with its inglenook and woodburner. There is a TV with Freeview and DVD player. The pantry with its slate floor is located on the main level of the house. The utility with its washing machine and tumble drier is located up some steps from kitchen.
There are 4 very spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed , there are 2 bedrooms with double beds and 1 bedroom with a single bed, all tastefully furnished and with some lovely Welsh Tapestry blankets The beds are made up with fresh linen ready for your arrival. Towels are also supplied.
There is an upstairs family bathroom with a shower over the bath and is accessed down 3 steps.
Downstairs there is another bathroom with shower.
