Llwyn-y-Gronfa - Sleeps 4
|
A wonderfully warm and cosy farmhouse which has been thoughtfully renovated without sacrificing any of its original character of oak beams, stripped pine doors and stairs and slate floors. It is set in a beautiful rural location some four miles east of the historical town of Machynlleth with wonderful views over the surrounding farmland. Listen to the wide and diverse local bird population from your window and watch the Red Kites soaring up above.
The farmhouse has its own private garden with a patio and garden furniture. It is near to the lovely sandy beaches and sea at Aberdyfi and Ynyslas and also to the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia. Nearby there are cycling routes, plenty of walks and a wide variety of places to visit. We are near to the RSPB reserve at Ynyslas which also has Ospreys nesting there as well as the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust area at Glaslyn. Tastefully furnished throughout, Llwyn-y-Gronfa has a large and comfortable, light and airy lounge with some lovely views over the surrounding farmland. It has a woodburner, a TV and a DVD player. The separate dining room/lounge with old oak beams also has some beautiful views, has a woodburner and TV . The modern oak fitted kitchen has an electric inbuilt oven and ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave and is very well equipped with the usual array of kitchen crockery and utensils. Both the dining room/lounge and kitchen have the original slate floors while the lounge is carpeted. |
